Michael W LeRoy Battles ALS From the Source

Michael W LeRoy is a highly reputable attorney in Orlando, Florida. Every day Michael W LeRoy battles plaintiffs and claimants who bring complex cases against Michael W LeRoy’s defendants. When he is out of the courtroom, though, Michael W LeRoy fights an even bigger battle that affects thousands of lives each year.

After having a close family member lose the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Michael W LeRoy has decided to join the effort on promoting awareness of this disease and rally funding for the research that will hopefully one day make ALS a thing of the past.

Michael W LeRoy has made significant contributions to the Gleason Initiative, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that LeRoy feels is the number one driving force in ALS awareness. The goal of The Gleason Imitative is to provide technology, equipment and services to ALS patients, while also raising awareness on the disease by sharing inspirational stories of ALS patients who refuse to let their symptoms keep them out of a fulfilling life.

The group was founded by Steve Gleason, a former NFL player who was on special teams for the New Orleans Saints. Gleason was diagnosed with ALS in 2011 after he had been out of the NFL for almost three years. Gleason, whose professional sports career was always highlighted with a history of philanthropy, was responsible for starting the One Sweet World Foundation while still in the NFL.

Now with the support of people like Michael W LeRoy, The Gleason Initiative has become a symbol of hope for those struggling with neuromuscular diseases.
