Developing Study Habits

If you want to know how to develop good study habits, you’d be wise to listen to Michael W LeRoy. Though he’s now out of school, his tremendous success as a student can only be attributed to his hard work and persistence both in and out of the classroom.

Michael W LeRoy of Orlando graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with Honors in 1989. However, there’s much more to the story. LeRoy didn’t just graduate with Honors, he graduated at the top of his class.  This incredible achievement would be worth noticing no matter what the college or university. However, when you take into the account the size of the typical graduating class at University of Nebraska-Omaha, the feat is by all means exceptional.

Michael W LeRoy went on to study law at the Florida State University College of Law, where he also graduated with honors.

So, if you’re interested in learning how to develop some strong study habits, just check out what LeRoy has to say….

Develop a routine. Erratic studying does little student any good at all, believes Michael W LeRoy. Athletes train on a schedule, students should, too. If you really want to succeed in the classroom, study for a set number of hours each and every day or night. Not only will your work pay off in your grades, but you’ll also find the process of learning to be much more enjoyable.

Study in the same place. When you get in bed, your body knows to go to sleep. When you go into the pantry, your body knows it’s time to eat. In the same way, you should train your body and mind to be prepared for studying by reserving a set aside place for studying. It could be a certain desk in the library or a quiet place in your home. Choose somewhere, and stick to it!
